Westwood Blvd Safety & Mobility Project
The accident at the 99 Ranch may have been preventable. In 10 years, there have been 354 collisions on Westwood Blvd, 106 involving at least one pedestrian or cyclist.
Protected bike lanes were proposed 11 years ago but were blocked. Now, we have a chance to re-visit those plans and make Westwood Blvd safer for pedestrians, bikers, and students. The funding is already there; we just need the political will to get it done.

Complete the full design
We insist that LADOT sticks to this design, with fully protected bike lanes and dedicated bus lanes.
Build it all at once
Construct the entire project together, not split into two phases.
Accelerate construction
Implement quick build measures now. Speed up the timeline as much as possible, finishing construction before 2028.
Enforce lanes immediately
Strong automated enforcement from day one. Bus lanes only work if they're kept clear.
